I am Xavier Scott, Franco-British and founder of Lost in Gers. For years, I evolved in a structured universe, made of numbers and objectives. A world where everything was precise, framed, methodical.
But I was missing something.
The desire to change horizons, to give more meaning and humanity to my daily life.
This is how I discovered the Gers, a land of character where life follows a more authentic rhythm. Here, the hills undulate under the sun, the markets overflow with local flavors, and each encounter has that little taste of authenticity that transforms a simple place into a real home.

If someone had told me one day that I would become a vacation rental concierge, I probably would have smiled.
My background? Nothing to do with it. Laboratories, scientific research, pharmaceutical marketing… A world where everything was precise, structured, anticipated. Fascinating, yes, but something was missing: something tangible, human connections, meaningful interactions.
When I settled in the Gers, I didn’t yet know that I would find much more than just a place to live.
Then one day, an opportunity: managing a vacation home, welcoming travelers, taking care of a place and its guests.
And then, the spark.
What I loved wasn’t just handing over the keys. It was orchestrating every detail to make everything perfect, anticipating travelers’ needs, enhancing a place so it becomes more than just accommodation.
